If you are have selected the Bay of Islands as a destination location for a specific event, then we can certainly help you find the right place to get the most out that occasion.

Lots of people come up here for weddings: the subtropical climate is certainly conducive to anxious brides and grooms who don’t want to be rained out on their special day. For these kind of celebratory event there are several options. For something uniquely Bay of Islands, get in touch with the tall ship R.Tucker Thompson; they cater for up to 47 guests and will take you to a calm secluded bay for a memorable event.

Perfect location for an evening drink and the at the Duke of Marlborough in Russell.
The Copthorne Hotel in Waitangi is a very pleasant waterfront option, just slightly out of town but close enough for people to walk to nearby motels. For a bit of colonial style and the best sunset in the Bay of Islands we recommend the Duke of Marlborough in Russell who have recently completed their winter renovations ready for the summer season.

On Paihia's waterfront you'll find 35 Degrees South with it's bewitching aquarium, which is running two fantastic $35 meal deals until October 2012 on Thursday and Friday evenings. New Year's Eve is set to be a great night here this year - live music all evening and fireworks at midnight. Get your booking in now!

For those who value the food and wine and want a boutique experience, try out our vineyards – perhaps Omata Estate in Russell, the lovely Marsden Estate in Kerikeri or the Ake Ake Vineyard out of the way on the Waimata North Rd. For food heaven, we have to recommend Wharepuke and the Pear Tree,  just a stone’s through from each other in Kerikeri’s town basin.

For more business oriented events, the Scenic Circle in Paihia delivers great facilities for conferences or meeting rooms. Likewise, the Waitaha Conference Centre, which is part of the Copthorne Hotel & Resort in Paihia.
